Covina : Trolley Contract Approved
The City Council unanimously approved a one-year contract with Community Transit Services Inc. to provide continued service for the city’s fixed-route trolley system.
Covina will pay the company up to $211,740 to run the two trolleys-on-wheels, which started rolling Aug. 15, 1990. Last year, the city budgeted $180,000 for the service.
The new contract calls for a revised six-day schedule and includes Monday service. The trolleys will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
