HELLO, STRANGER: Want to chart world economic and political trends? Look at where Cal State Fullerton’s foreign students hail from, above, says Robert Ericksen, who heads the school’s office of international education and exchange. . . . The university doesn’t offer aid to the visitors, so they have to come from countries wealthy enough to send them to America for several years. “Now we’re seeing the economy is strong in Asia, and those are the students who most often have the funding to join us,” Ericksen says.
