VENTURA : Lifestyle, Health Fair to Focus on Seniors
Seminars on subjects affecting seniors, including health and insurance, will be presented every 30 minutes at this weekend’s Senior Lifestyle and Health Fair at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
The exhibit will also feature 100 commercial exhibitors showing items from clothing to housewares and offering health screenings, said Beth Perez, producer of the show. “We are also having an exhibit of chair dancing, which is a form of aerobics,” Perez said. “That’s where seniors sit in a chair, move their arms and legs and tap their feet.”
Although the show is aimed at seniors, Perez said exhibits would cater to any age. One seminar concerns planning for a secure future past the age of 45, she said.
The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday. Admission is $2 for seniors and $4 general admission.
