Clash of Opinions on Marine Stories

Isn’t it about time you back off on your absurd vendetta against the El Toro Marines and their alleged misuse of military aircraft? The editorial (“Military or Civilian, the Rules Apply,” May 17) condemning the two Marine Corps generals borders on character assassination.

What’s behind this continuing series of articles and editorials? It can’t be because it’s newsworthy. It’s a non-story if there ever was one.

If you devoted as much time to looking for good story material as you do to this type of irresponsible reporting, you could improve your paper considerably. Stop beating a dead horse!
