Kitty to Purr on Daytime TV: Kitty Kelley, fresh from promoting her controversial book about former First Lady Nancy Reagan, is entering the syndicated daytime talk-show wars. She has signed an exclusive agreement with MCA-TV to host a new one-hour show that she and MCA are jointly developing. In announcing the project Wednesday, Shelly Schwab, president of MCA-TV, said, “With her finger sitting squarely on the pulse of popular culture, she is perfectly suited to not only stem the audience erosion of over-the-air television but attract new viewers to daytime television.” Her book on Mrs. Reagan has topped the New York Times bestseller list since it came out in April.
