Richard C. Osborne has been named chairman of Scotsman Industries Inc., Vernon Hills, Ill., succeeding Donald C. Clark.

Osborne will continue as president and chief executive of the commercial refrigeration products firm.

Clark, chairman since Scotsman was spun off from Household International in April, 1989, remains a director.
