Azerbaijan-Bound Train Hit by Blast

MOSCOW —
An explosion ripped through a train bound for Soviet Azerbaijan on Thursday, killing and injuring a number of people, the official news agency Tass said.
The blast occurred in Dagestan, on the coast of the Caspian Sea, in the last carriage of a train from Moscow bound for the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, the agency said.
It gave no indication of the cause of the blast.
