A Rocking Horse Can Be of Different Color

Share
Ellingson has been designing patterns and plans for the amateur woodworker since 1948.

This adorable rocking horse can be any color you want. Decorate it as shown here with scrap leather for the ears and a yarn tail, or be creative and use felt in place of leather with a rope tail. It’s a snap to build because all you do is trace the full-size pattern onto pine, saw the pieces out, and assemble according to the step-by-step directions; even the facial features are traceable!

We designed this project with safety and durability in mind. The rockers have a limited motion so toddlers don’t tip it over, and you’ll know it’s well-constructed because you built it yourself. There couldn’t be a better holiday gift for any child!
