TV Life With Friedman: Steve Friedman, the executive producer of “NBC Nightly News,” has been named executive-in-charge of the low-rated “Real Life With Jane Pauley.” Friedman, who will continue as executive producer on “Nightly News,” will be the “show doctor” of the Pauley series, with producer David Browning reporting to him. “We’re going to work together to make a show that takes full advantage of Jane’s popularity,” Friedman said.
