An Indian has broken his own world record for tiny writing, inscribing 1,314 characters on a grain of rice, the Press Trust of India said Wednesday.

Surendra Kumar Apharya, who has been mentioned twice in the Guinness Book of Records, wrote the names of 168 countries and regions on a single grain of rice, the agency said.

Apharya, who works at the Jaipur branch of the Archeological Survey of India in Rajasthan state, set his first record last year with 638 characters on one rice grain, then broke it again with 1,136 before his latest total.
