Cranston Jones, 73, who worked for Time and People magazines and produced several books on architecture. He worked on the staff of Time from 1945 to 1969, serving as a correspondent in San Francisco, London and Paris and as bureau chief in Rio de Janeiro. He later worked as an editor-in-chief of Travel and Leisure magazine and senior editor of People. His books include “Architecture Today and Tomorrow,” “Homes of the American Presidents,” and “Marcel Breuer: Buildings and Projects, 1921-1961.” On June 1 in New York of cancer of the esophagus.
