Share

Woodland Hills West Coach Don Hornback expected pitching to be a strength of his American Legion baseball team, but the performance of right-hander Terry Morrow has been a surprise.

Morrow pitched a three-hitter Saturday as defending state champion West defeated Lancaster, 10-0, in a District 20 game at El Camino Real High that was called after seven innings because of the 10-run rule.

Morrow (3-0), expected to be the team’s No. 3 starter, has allowed two earned runs in 21 innings. He allowed one Lancaster baserunner to reach third base.
