A day of free car rental also is given with three consecutive days of car rental at any of nine companies.

Travelers to Fort Lauderdale can also get a “Sand Dollar” coupon booklet with discounts to 40 sightseeing/entertainment/sports attractions, restaurants and stores. Among the highlights are Butterfly World, Everglades Air Boat Tour, Flamingo Gardens and Jungle Queen Cruise.

The visitors bureau also distributes a free packet that includes the coupon booklet, a list of all participating hotels and car rental agencies, a calendar of events, vacation guide and map. The program runs through Dec. 15. Call (800) 227-8669.
