Washington Bound?: Avant-garde rock musician Frank Zappa says he has called two political consultants in Washington “and we’re going to do a little feasibility study” about his running for President. Zappa told Spin magazine he would run a nonpartisan campaign on a platform that would abolish income taxes. “I like this country enough that I’ll give up something that I love for four years (his music) to do this job that nobody is doing right here. . . . How could I make things any worse than they already are?” he asks. But Zappa is realistic about his chances of moving into the White House. “Not good, but a chance is a chance,” he says.
