National Semiconductor Corp.: The Santa Clara, Calif.-based computer chip maker said fourth-quarter net income rose 19% to $5.6 million, while revenue fell 2% to $444.9 million. For the full year, the firm’s net loss swelled to $151.4 million from $25 million a year ago, while revenue was up fractionally to $1.701 billion. The firm said results for the latest year reflect the impact of the restructuring announced in August, 1990, including a $143.6-million restructuring charge, as well as the subsequent sale of the company’s Puyallup, Wash., wafer fabrication facility.
