Norwegian Whalers Vow Hunt to Defy Ban

Norwegian whalers said Sunday that they will start illegal commercial hunting of minke whales July 4.
The hunt would defy an international five-year moratorium and government pledges not to kill any whales this year.
Norwegian officials, who have previously said that whaling without government approval will not be tolerated, indicated that coast guard vessels will be used to stop the whalers.
