Passage to Indonesia: Warner Bros. Inc. said that it had arranged a partnership to become the first American film company to release films in Indonesia. The first film to be distributed under the deal, “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,” is set to begin its run in the country of 179 million on June 28. Warner’s Edward Frumkes said at a news conference in Jakarta that previously exhibitors in Indonesia bought films outright. Most were screened locally only after having made their rounds in cities around the world.
