Victory Parades

I think your editors got the priorities mixed up in their selection of photographs for the first and second pages (June 9). It’s the photograph of the grieving family of the soldier killed in the Gulf War that should be on the front page, not the photo of the fortunate survivors of the war parading proudly down the street in Washington.

We should help veterans find jobs, help them get over any psychological traumas caused by the bloodshed and find ways to reward their courage other than throwing them a few big parades. War is a terrible tragedy.
