A judge has denied a bid to reduce the prison sentence for Christian Brando, the son of actor Marlon Brando who pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his half-sister’s lover, attorneys said Tuesday.
Brando is serving a 10-year term for voluntary manslaughter for the May 17, 1990, shooting of Dag Drollet, the Tahitian boyfriend of Cheyenne Brando. Brando’s attorney, Robert Shapiro, presented his bid in Santa Monica before Superior Court Judge Robert Thomas on Friday. Deputy Dist. Atty. Steven Barshop said he received word Tuesday that the motion was denied.
Brando will be eligible for parole in 4 1/2 years.
