Banks to Keep Talking: C&S-Sovran; Corp.’s directors authorized additional negotiations with NCNB Corp. about combining into the nation’s No. 2 bank, but they indicated that the talks may not produce a marriage. Atlanta-based C&S-Sovran; two years ago rejected an unsolicited takeover offer by Charlotte, N.C.-based NCNB.
