Name of Theater Was Incorrect

The interesting article on the reopening of the El Capitan Theatre (Times, June 16) contains an error. While the Los Angeles premiere of “Citizen Kane” was indeed held at this theater on May 8, 1941, the theater at that time was still operating under its original name.
The name was not changed until the following year. It reopened as the Paramount Hollywood on March 18, 1942, with the world premiere of Cecil B. DeMille’s “Reap the Wild Wind.”
