An Age-Old Question: Just how old is entertainer-producer Dick Clark? A curious Dallas prosecutor sought an answer when America’s oldest teen-ager appeared in a federal court as a character witness for a defendant in an investment fraud trial. Seeking the whole truth and nothing but the truth, Assistant U.S. Atty. Bob Webster said, “Since I have you under oath, my wife told me to ask, ‘How old are you?’ ” “Sixty-one,” Clark replied as jurors broke into laughter. A celebrity source book confirms Clark’s age as 61, listing his birthday as Nov. 30, 1929.
