Federated, Allied Change Reorganization Plan: Federated Department Stores Inc. and Allied Stores Corp., the troubled U.S. retailing operations of Canada’s Campeau Corp., filed an amended bankruptcy reorganization plan that offers more cash to certain creditors. As under the previous plan, creditors will also receive stocks and bonds in a new, merged Federated Department Stores. In addition, both the new and the old plans call for Compton-based Ralphs Grocery Co. to be spun off from Campeau as an independent company that would be 60.3%-owned by the Edward J. DeBartolo Corp. real estate firm.
