A deranged bicyclist burst into a Van Nuys car dealership Tuesday, threatening employees with a machete and shouting that he wanted to behead the Queen of England, Los Angeles police reported.

Dyke O’Quinn, 27, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and was being held in lieu of $15,000 bail, Sgt. Robert Veliz said.

O’Quinn, who would not tell police his hometown, rode up to the Miller Mitsubishi dealership in the 5300 block of Van Nuys Boulevard near Weddington Street about 10:30 a.m., Veliz said.

Dismounting the bicycle, he entered, brandishing a machete, police said.

“He kept shouting something about beheading the Queen of England,” Veliz said.

O’Quinn slammed the machete down on a woman’s desk just a few feet from her, police said.

He then swung the blade at other employees, who fled the building unharmed before calling police.

O’Quinn hopped back on his bicycle and pedaled toward Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park near Huston Street and Tyrone Avenue

O’Quinn was arrested at the park, police said.

O’Quinn later told police he once had a chance to behead the queen, Veliz said.

“He’s mentally deranged--he’s definitely not all there,” the officer said.
