King defenseman Jeff Chychrun, acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers on May 30, underwent surgery on his left wrist. He is expected to be out of the lineup for the first month of next season.

The Kings also announced that defenseman Tim Watters has signed a termination contract, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. Also signing termination contracts were defenseman Eric Ricard and right wing Ross Wilson. The Kings bought out the contracts of defenseman Bob Halkidis and Petr Prajsler.
