Pepperdine Gets Grant From Weingart Foundation
Pepperdine University in Malibu has received a grant for $734,912 from the Los Angeles-based Weingart Foundation for the university’s no-interest undergraduate student loan fund.
More than 700 students have benefited from $1.5 million in Weingart loans since 1987. Sophomores, juniors and seniors who are U.S. citizens and graduates of Southern California high schools are eligible. In addition to the loans, the foundation has pledged to match up to $1.1 million raised by Pepperdine.
