Rainy Day Ratings: KTLA Channel 5 enjoyed a pretty decent turn out for the debut of the “KTLA Morning News” Monday. Nielsen ratings released Tuesday for the first two-hour morning newscast in the L.A. area showed the station earning a 2.6 rating (about 131,000 area households) and 10% share of the audience watching between 7-9 a.m. Those numbers trailed CBS’ “This Morning” on KCBS by only .1 of a point (about 5,000 homes) and ABC’s “Good Morning America” on KABC by only .3 (15,000 homes). NBC’s “Today” on KNBC was far ahead with a 4.1 mark.
