Fraternity’s Conduct
I found your article on the fraternities at USC (“Fraternity Conduct Raises Row,” Column One, June 27) to be disturbing, to say the least. I was particularly upset by the cowardly reaction of the school officials to the rape victim. Unless the victim is badly beaten and her assailant is a poor minority, the violent crime of rape always seems to be trivialized or discounted. Is it any wonder that only one out of 10 rapes are reported to the police?
