No Home Run for CBS: CBS’ coverage of Tuesday’s All-Star Game showed a ratings increase over last year’s telecast, but the numbers were still lower than those NBC drew for the 1989 contest. The American League’s 4-2 victory received a 17.4 rating, meaning it was seen in about 16.2 million households, according to figures relased Wednesday by the A.C. Nielsen Co. Last year’s rain-delayed game had a 16.2 rating (14.9 million households), while the 1989 telecast weighed in with an 18.2 rating (16.5 million households.)
