SIMI VALLEY : Peace Posters Pasted on Gallegly’s Door
Three anti-war posters were found pasted to the outside door of Rep. Elton Gallegly’s (R-Simi Valley) campaign office on Erringer Road, officials said Thursday.
The posters found Wednesday morning pictured a girl and read: “Lose a daughter, lose a son,” the Congressman’s wife, Janice Gallegly, said.
“Peaceful dissent is one of our most cherished freedoms,” Gallegly said in a statement. “But for cowards to skulk around in the dead of night and paste up anti-war posters is repulsive.”
Earlier this week, a Simi Valley Jaycees sign saying “Support Our Troops,” also was defaced.
Simi Valley police are “evaluating the two incidents to determine if they are related,” Detective Sgt. Ken Tacke said.
