Mel Marchbanks has been named vice president of North American sales for Silicon Systems. He joined the Tustin semiconductor company in 1985 as southwest regional sales manager. Before that, Marchbanks held regional management positions with such companies as Semi Process Inc. in San Jose, Intersil Inc. of Cupertino, and Raytheon Semiconductor and Fairchild Semiconductor of Mountain View.
