Sexual assault charges were dismissed against Syracuse basketball recruit Wildred Kirkaldy, who the judge said became the real victim when a student accused him of rape during a recruiting visit.
Onondaga County District Judge J. Kevin Mulroy dismissed the case against Kirkaldy, 18, of Brooklyn, N.Y., after the judge was presented with evidence that he said refuted the prosecution’s case.
