Bluegill are feeding heartily at San Diego’s Otay Lake, which produced a state record and a possible line-class world record last weekend.

Davis Buckhanon, using four-pound test line and a red worm for bait, brought in a bluegill that measured 12.7 inches and weighed 3 pounds 8 ounces. The world record for four-pound line is 2 pounds 12 ounces.
