Leftist guerrilla groups launched a bombing campaign in Greece, wounding three people in advance of a visit by President Bush beginning today. The three-day visit, first by a U.S. President in 31 years, is designed to seal a new era of cordial Greek-American relations after years of mutual animosity. It may also be a chance for Bush to try his hand at mediating the 17-year-long Greek-Turkish dispute that has kept Cyprus a divided island. He travels to Ankara on Saturday. The five bombs set off around Athens on Tuesday were blamed on guerrillas of the November 17 group. Two Turkish diplomats and their driver were injured.
