A published report said that the Detroit Pistons’ new television commentator, Ron Rothstein, will be hired as coach in 1992, but Chuck Daly said he has made no decision to leave.

Rothstein quit as coach of the Miami Heat on May 1 after three seasons. Booth Newspapers quoted an unidentified player as saying he had met with Piston General Manager Jack McCloskey and that everyone at the meeting agreed Rothstein should replace Daly.
