A 23-year-old man suspected of being the “Clearasil Robber,” who has robbed several banks in the county, was arrested, authorities said Friday.
Mark Anthony Cherico, an unemployed salesman from San Diego, was arrested Wednesday by FBI agents and San Diego police detectives, a press release from the FBI said.
Dubbed the “Clearasil Robber” because of his pockmarked complexion, Cherico is suspected of robbing nine banks in San Diego, El Cajon, La Mesa, Carlsbad, Escondido and Vista.
