Pacific Exchange Against Earlier Start

The Pacific Stock Exchange’s board of governors voted Thursday to oppose the New York Stock Exchange’s proposal to open half an hour earlier at 6 a.m. PDT, providing further West Coast opposition to the plan.
“While PSE operations can accommodate an earlier opening, the board noted that no benefits to public investors are apparent from the proposal,” the exchange said in a statement.
