Pasadena : Work Space Will Be Studied

Share

The amount of working space needed by the city’s nearly 2,000 employees will be analyzed by The Urquiza Group Inc. under a $64,883 contract approved Tuesday by the City Council.

Councilmen Isaac Richard and William Paparian objected, saying two such studies were done in the past four years.

But Norman Carter, the city’s General Services Department director, said the previous studies didn’t include the Hale Building, a former Southern California Edison building acquired by the city and renovated.

The new study is also needed before work can begin on a new Water and Power Department building proposed for vacant land across the street from City Hall, Carter said.
