Deputy Helped Beyond Call of Duty
In light of the continued popularity of police- and sheriff-bashing, I want to publicly thank the Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy who came to my assistance Wednesday, July 10.
I was stranded on Valley Circle Boulevard with no means of contacting help. I felt a tremendous sense of relief when the deputy appeared. Not only did he reassure me, he also drove me to my home, so I was able to make arrangements for my disabled automobile.
I apologize for not getting this fine young man’s name, but I hope he sees this and knows how much I appreciate his kindness.
