Perceptronics Receives Army Project Subcontract
Perceptronics Inc., a Woodland Hills maker of tank simulators and other military training equipment, said it has been awarded a $604,000 subcontract from Teledyne Systems in Northridge for work on a new U.S. Army armored vehicle program.
Under the subcontract, Perceptronics will develop computer models to determine how well soldiers will perform in armored vehicles utilizing a new chassis. It will also use computer drawings to help design a new tank to replace the Army’s M1 Abrams tank, Perceptronics chief executive Gershon Weltman said.
