Digital Resolves Patent Dispute: Digital Equipment Corp., which sued a California firm claiming that it infringed on certain Digital patents, said two Massachusetts firms using similar technology have agreed to phase out their products. Under the voluntary agreement, Winchester Systems Inc. of Woburn and Aviv Corp. of Burlington will switch to new products by Dec. 31, 1992. Digital sued Micro Technology Inc. of Anaheim last month, claiming that it infringed on Digital’s patents for storing and retrieving computer information. Micro Technology disputed the claims.
