Richter’s 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers (KABC Monday at 9 p.m.), inspired by Don Siegel’s 1956 sci-fi horror classic of the same name, is a thoroughly scary success in its own right that generates its own implications from Jack Finney’s sturdy allegory of dehumanization--and even manages to have some fun in the process.
