K-Swiss Inc. reported a 20% increase in its second-quarter profit, to $1.84 million from $1.54 million a year earlier.

The Pacoima-based manufacturer of athletic shoes said the higher earnings in the quarter ended June 30 came on a 15% increase in sales, to $28 million from $24.4 million.

All of the sales gain came from K-Swiss’ international sales, which more than doubled to $8.74 million from $3.78 million and now account for 31% of its overall business. The company’s domestic sales fell 7% in the quarter, to $19.2 million from $20.6 million.
