Litton Wins Additional $122-Million Contract

Litton Industries said its Data Systems division of Van Nuys has been awarded an additional $122 million by the U.S. Navy to continue production of tactical air operations systems for the Marine Corps and Air Force.

The award brings the total value of Navy and Air Force contracts on the Litton program to just under $1 billion, the company said. Delivery has begun on 118 systems on order, Litton said. The new award includes one system for the Marine Corps and 21 for the Air Force.

Work on the program is being done at Data Systems’ Colorado Springs, Colo., production facility and at the division’s Van Nuys headquarters. Litton Industries is based in Beverly Hills.
