COUNTYWIDE : Senate Candidate Will Visit County
Democratic U. S. Senate candidate Barbara Boxer will make a campaign swing through Ventura County on Monday that concludes with a reception in Ventura sponsored by Democrats United.
Boxer, a liberal congresswoman from Greenbrae in Marin County, is scheduled to have breakfast with Latino leaders, hold morning interviews at local radio stations, have lunch with environmentalists at Patagonia, visit that company’s child-care center in Ventura and talk with various county officials in the afternoon.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Boxer will attend a reception in her honor at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers hall, 3994 E. Main St., Ventura. Democrats United, a political action committee, is asking for a $15 donation for the first in a series of meet-and-greet sessions with Democratic candidates for U. S. Senate.
