Jurisprudence
A former Miss Black America filed a $100-million lawsuit against boxer Mike Tyson, alleging that he grabbed her buttocks at the opening of an Indianapolis convention last month.
The lawsuit filed in federal court in New York alleges that Tyson assaulted, battered and humiliated Rosie Jones, 27, of Bridgeport, Conn., who held the Miss Black America title for 1990-91.
It is at least the third suit accusing the former heavyweight champion, who last year had assets valued at $15 million, of grabbing a woman’s buttocks.
The suit also comes at a time that a grand jury in Indianapolis is considering allegations that Tyson raped an 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant during the Indiana Black Expo.
