Taste of L.A.
Through Aug. 18
* The annual Taste of L.A. runs two consecutive weekends, noon-11 p.m., at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main St., Santa Monica. Along with about 50 L.A.-area restaurants and chefs offering tastes of their specialties ($1-$6), there will be entertainment, chef demonstrations and an art exhibit. $8; seniors $6; children 4-12, $4; 3 and under free.
