In response to “House Votes to End Ban on Fetal Tissue Research,” July 26:
May it always be so!
Thirty-five years ago at the age of 2, my son John was diagnosed as a juvenile diabetic. He died four weeks ago. Had scientific research on fetal tissue been further advanced he may have been alive and well today.
When one life is lost shouldn’t we strive to make that life count by letting it save one or more others? Our not continuing fetal tissue research is unconscionable!
