More Sor may not be at the top of every guitarist’s wish list, but the volatile Fernandez does include major and unhackneyed works on this program. His playing, though no model of stylistic purity, is emotionally urgent, effortlessly virtuosic and faithful to the scores, seriously lapsing only in his brutally overplayed Minuet of the C-minor Sonata.
