THOUSAND OAKS : Youths Arrested in Threats to Paper
- Share via
Two youths have been arrested in connection with bomb threats made last week against a Thousand Oaks newspaper, authorities said Friday.
A News Chronicle paper carrier and a former carrier, ages 12 and 15, were arrested Tuesday and Wednesday on suspicion of phoning two false bomb threats to the newspaper, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The youths, who are neighbors in Thousand Oaks, have been released to their parents. Telephone threats on Aug. 2 forced 100 employees to evacuate the newspaper’s office twice, but during business hours, officials said. No bombs were found.
